ShanghaiPRIDE: 13th to 21st June 2014
The first ShanghaiPRIDE came into being in 2009, thanks to the tireless commitment of a small group of volunteers. Their hope was, and still remains, that ShanghaiPRIDE can raise the awareness and visibility of the LGBT community in China and thereby increase acceptance and tolerance. With the slogan: “Don’t Hide, Don’t Change, Be Proud” Shanghai joined communities around the world in celebrating global LGBT Pride Month with an unprecedented turnout among locals and expats alike during the week-long festival.

Harbin Ice Festival
With annual low temperatures below -35C not uncommon, Harbin hosts one of the worlds largest Ice and Snow Festivals, with illuminated full size buildings made from blocks of crystal clear ice 60–100 cm thick, taken from the nearby Songhua River.
The festival runs each year over January and February giving plenty of options for suitable dates to enjoy this spectacular show.
